Lesson 1

Lesson 1 introduced students to the Real Numbers and how they can be broken down into subsets.  Be comfortable identifying numbers as Natural/Counting, Whole, Integers, Rational, and Irrational.  Be able to recognize numbers that are an intersection of a set, and a union of a set.  Remember, there are special ways to label those sets.  Finally, give examples and counterexamples of closed systems with specific operations.
